University of Eastern Cape

The University of Eastern Cape is an institution that is designed to cater for the needs of the poor Southern African community. It is an institution of higher learning dedicated to improving access to education for poor underdeveloped communities by equipping them with necessary skills that South Africa and the broader Southern Africa needs.

The University of Eastern Cape (UEC) will be committed to boosting economic participation of the black and poor African communities through a cutting-edge curriculum dedicated to serve as bridge between poverty and the modern world, with areas of concentration that have been identified through comparative research and analysis of what current South African institutions are offering and what the market is demanding. The curriculum will also emphasise entrepreneurship, digitisation, communication and ethics, and importantly, personal financial management to ensure that all graduates meet the individual needs of all poor Africans to alleviate their standards of living.

...

Most importantly, UEC aims to lift the poor black African lives through the strong key of education, with little-to-zero fees to pay for all its poor students. This will be possible through a funding method that collect funds from those who are able and willing to pay and fund those who are unable to, without depending majorly on taxpayers and donors.

Mission

The University of Eastern Cape’s mission is to educate students emphasising leadership, communication, modernisation and financial life skills in an integrated approach suitable for poor Africans. UEC will collaborate with industry partners to offer students real-world problem-solving, work experience and leadership opportunities.

Vision

The University of Eastern Cape aspires to be the nationally and internationally recognised institution of higher education for Africa, serving the continent by preparing future leaders, improving black economic participation, and reducing poverty.
